Visit to Nelson Intermediate school!

On the 7th of September 2010, the year 6's at every school in nelson, went to the Nelson Intermediate for a visit.
Our school took a bus to get there. When we all got there, we had to sit in the hall, and watch a Maori class do a performance. We were all put into groups after the performance.
We looked in all the classes, year 7's upstairs and year 8's downstairs. Our group saw bio tech, hard work, the swimming pool, their playground, art class & the music class. Once we all got shown everywhere around the school, our group got to go on the playground, then we went back to the hall and listened to their band, and when they had finished, Mr Gully (the school Principal) told all the teachers to let the schools go out and get back to their school. Our school went back to school on the bus again. When we got back we had to have our morning tea in the adventure playground.
I'm surly gonna go to N.I.S next year.

Clockwork

Fear & Suspense
Gretel came down the stairs to warm up her hands, when sir Ironsoul came in from the door with his sword.
Evil & Action
Karl was at the bar, not knowing that sir Ironsoul was there. Karl heard footsteps then he turned around, and sir Ironsoul stabbed him and killed Karl.
Survival & fear
King Otto, Prince Florian and Baron, were on a sled getting chased by wolves. Baron sacrificed his life to save King Otto and Prince Florian, by jumping off the sled.
Surprise & Heroic
Prince Florian came rushing through the door, whistling the tune that stops sir Ironsoul. Gretel and prince Florian walked all the way back to town. Everybody was so surprised when they saw Gretel and prince Florian walk in front of the clock tower.

Totara rubberband car race!

On the start of term 3, room 7 started making some rubber band cars in our groups. We had 3 or 4 weeks to finish our cars, then on Monday the 9/8/10 the whole syndicate went into the Trinity hall to show how far their cars went. The best out of our class was Bianca and Max's group. All the kids that were participating looked so nervous, because they didn't know how far theirs would go. I was sitting next to Lauren, we were cheering on Bianca's car, because we already knew how far her one went. Bianca's best one out of the three attempts, was 13 metres 64 centimetres . The other ones that were participating in the race got so far, but not as far as Bianca's one. After the race, everyone had to quickly get into their assembly lines. Dave congratulated Bianca for how she won the race. Bianca made her car at home, and she had really big wheels. That was the rubber band car race. I understand how potential energy connects with kinetic energy, because when Kelle and I made our car, we were using potential energy when we wound up the up the rubber band.

Kelle's birthday party!

In the weekend Angel, Trinity, Frankie and I, went to Kelle's birthday party. When we all got there, Kelle opened the prezzys; I got her a gift card from her favourite shop Smiggle, Angel got her some envelopes, Trinity got her a Hannah Montana pack, and Frankie gave Kelle a painting that she did of her. We started playing some balloon games while Angel was watching This is it and, looking up stuff about Michael Jackson. Then we had some dinner, it was cheerios and some pizza, And the most awesome part was the cake. Trinity had to have something different for dinner, because she is a vegetarian. She had to have some macaroni instead. Pete (Kelle's dad) made up the beds in the lounge. Then we did Sing star, and our voices got really croaky. We eventually went to bed at 4:30 in the morning.

my weekend

In the weekend I stayed at home sorting out my wardrobe, I got rid of 12 bags; It was mostly all my baby stuff. I still have lots more to do,because I have such a big wardrobe and mum said if I want a necklace I'm gonna have to do all her chores, But I will do them for her because she does everything for me and my brother.

My Palmerston north trip!

In the holidays I went on a plane with my brother, to go to Wellington to stay with my Nana and my uncle.
They actually live in Palmerston north, but it was to expensive to catch a plane to Palmerston north, that meant we had to drive there with them. Half way there my brother and I asked if we could get something to eat, we stopped at the fruit and vegetables store. We got a pear and when we finished, we thew them out the window and it accidentally hit a car, and we all started laughing.

When we finally got there, my uncle had this whole box of lollies, but since my brother Leon and I were there, all the lollies went down fast but when the week ended I started to play with their cats. Their names are Kitty and Sammy. Sammy is really shy and Kitty like to play.
When I went to the super market with my uncle we got a cat toy for kitty, and when I got back to their house, I started to play with Kitty and I was throwing the toy around and it got stuck high in a tree. Next time I go to Palmerston north, I will try and get it down from the tree.

My Cay Model

The Cay is a wonderful book about, a boy that was stuck on a raft, with an old negro man, lost his mum and became blind. I love that book so much that I could read all over again. In class we have being doing some clay models, that is about the Cay. I did mine on the part in the Cay when their on the raft, with the little cat called stew cat. Also, the old negro man, was called Timothy, and the boy was called Philip. It is a great book and I like it alot.
